Who we are

This site and the Sether Shield extension are operated by Raeven Company LTD, a company registered in Nigeria, which builds Sether. You can reach us at emorylebo@gmail.com.

What we collect on this site

  • Waitlist email address. If you submit our waitlist form, we collect the email address you provide. We use it solely to contact you about Sether's launch and product updates. We do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties for marketing.
  • First-party site analytics. The website records a random visit identifier, pages and links visited, referral and campaign information, browser and screen details, scroll depth and time spent on sections. The visit identifier and counters use browser session storage. If you submit the waitlist form, that visit can be associated with the email you provide. These records help us understand how people find and use the site; they are separate from extension processing. Standard hosting and security logs may also contain IP addresses and request metadata.
  • Contact and comments. Contact forms store the name, email, optional company and message you submit. Blog comments store your submitted details and comment for moderation. These features may retain a keyed hash of your IP address to limit abuse. Do not include secrets in a message or public comment.
  • The interactive sandbox runs in your browser. Whatever text you paste into the live sandbox stays in your browser. We do not transmit it to our servers, log it, or persist it anywhere.

What we do NOT collect

  • We do not place advertising or tracking cookies.
  • We do not share data with ad networks.
  • We do not require you to create an account to read this site.
  • We do not store the test data you paste into the sandbox.

Accounts and the Pro pilot

Reading this site and using Free tool essentials do not require a Pro account. If you create an account or use the Pro pilot, we store your name, email address, password hash and account/session records. Necessary session and security cookies support sign-in and form protection; these are separate from advertising cookies. Creating an account, viewing a demo or installing a tool does not start a trial. You explicitly start the seven-day trial after installing a compatible licensed build.

  • License records. We store an opaque account identifier, trial and paid-access dates, and hashed activation credentials with a short identifying prefix and creation/revocation dates. The full activation code is shown when issued rather than stored as a recoverable code. New licensed clients send their product identifier and activation credential to Sether only when you explicitly activate or renew a license; they do not poll or refresh automatically. Shield retains the signed lease and public verification key locally, but does not persist the activation credential. The editor stores the credential in VS Code SecretStorage and the lease/key in its extension state. Signed licenses contain the account identifier, product, plan, feature flags and validity dates. They do not contain your email, prompt text, replies, file contents, mappings, watchlist values, device identifier or usage telemetry. Standard server logs can contain IP addresses and request metadata.
  • Purchase records, when checkout is enabled. We retain your account reference, billing email, chosen monthly or annual period, USD amount, transaction reference and payment/refund status. The configured payment provider handles payment details through its checkout. Pro access is for one period with manual renewal; it does not automatically charge again. Checkout may be unavailable during the pilot.
  • Local data stays local. The new official Shield and editor clients contact Sether for licensing, not to upload prompts, replies, file contents, watchlist values or restore mappings. Trial or paid-access expiry returns the tool to Free. Restoring values from mappings the tool still has remains Free; expiry does not extend the mapping's normal session lifetime. An offline license can remain usable until its signed expiry; revocation takes effect when a refresh is refused or the cached license expires.
  • Account requests. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of account data. There is no automated account-deletion interface yet. Records needed for legal, payment or abuse-handling obligations may need to be retained; we do not promise an automatic retention deadline.

Sether Shield browser extension: published version 0.5.2

Sether Shield helps you find and replace personal information and secrets in AI chat prompts. This section describes version 0.5.2 and serves as the extension's privacy policy. The extension does not require a Sether account.

  • Text processed on your device. On protected sites, Shield reads text you type or paste into compatible editable fields to detect and replace sensitive details. This can include names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP-address strings, financial details and credentials contained in that text. On supported AI chat interfaces, Response Guard also reads rendered reply text to detect sensitive details and recognise replacements. Detection and replacement run in your browser.
  • No extension telemetry or uploads. Shield does not upload prompt text, reply text, watchlist values or usage telemetry to Raeven, Sether or third-party servers. Its detection, replacement and popup do not make external network requests. If you open a website link, that website follows its own privacy policy. The marketing site's practices described elsewhere in this notice are separate from the extension.
  • Data retained locally. Chrome's local extension storage retains your settings, protected-site list, custom rules, imported watchlist values and local aggregate counts. Watchlist entries are the actual values you choose to protect, so they remain on this device across browser restarts until you remove or replace them. Recent replacement history retains up to 500 records containing the replacement text, category, site origin, timestamp and whether the value was typed or pasted. It does not retain the full prompt or reply.
  • Session mappings for restore. To restore a mask, redaction or decoy, Shield keeps the original value and its replacement in page memory and Chrome's memory-only session storage. This mapping can survive a page refresh and is cleared when the browser closes. It is not a permanent cloud vault or cross-device restore service.
  • Permissions and protected sites. The storage permission supports the local settings, records and session mappings described above. The contextMenus permission adds right-click actions for selected text in an editable field. Shield requests access to HTTP and HTTPS pages so it can work on the built-in AI sites and other origins you add. Its prompt listeners and interface activate only on origins in your protected-site allowlist. The defaults include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok, Mistral, Poe, Hugging Face and Character.AI. You can add or remove sites in the popup.
  • Restored replies and clipboard use. When a supported reply echoes a replacement, Show real values in this reply restores original text in the page's displayed reply. The originals then become part of that page's DOM and may be readable by the website's scripts. The site may overwrite these local edits when it redraws the reply. Copy reply with real values instead writes the restored reply to your system clipboard without inserting those originals into the reply DOM. Your operating system and other applications control subsequent clipboard handling. Neither action itself submits a new AI prompt.
  • Your controls. You can pause Shield, change protected sites, delete imported watchlist entries, delete your custom rules and clear recent replacement history from the popup. Closing the browser clears the session restore mapping; it does not clear your saved watchlist or other persistent local settings. You can uninstall the extension through your browser. We do not receive a server copy of your extension data to delete for you.
  • Use limited to the extension's features. Shield uses the text and local records it handles to provide detection, replacement, restore and the related controls and local history described here. The extension does not sell that data, use it for advertising or transmit it for unrelated analytics. Its implementation does not provide Raeven or Sether with access to your prompts, replies or watchlist through a server.
  • Review before you send. Shield edits page text; it is not a network proxy and cannot guarantee that every sensitive value will be detected. You decide whether to send a prompt, and the AI website's own privacy practices apply to what you submit. Reply restoration depends on the website's interface, an echoed replacement and an available session mapping.
  • Source available. The extension source is available for inspection at github.com/raeven-co/sether-shield.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

You can request deletion of your waitlist email at any time by emailing emorylebo@gmail.com. We will remove it within 30 days. Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, port, or delete your personal data; under CCPA you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell). To exercise any right, contact us.

Service providers

Hosting, domain/security, email and, when enabled, payment providers process the information needed to deliver their services. A configured notification webhook may receive a waitlist email and its source to support product updates. Payment checkout identifies the payment provider before you pay. These services do not receive local extension prompts or mappings through Sether's license API. Contact us for information about the providers relevant to your request.

Changes

If we materially change this notice, we will update the date above and, where required, contact waitlist subscribers directly.
